Single Family Home Sales for October 2010 - El Paso County

Homes sales increased by 4.6% in El Paso County for the month of October when compared to September.

There were 142 fewer single family home sales in October 2010 when compared to October 2009 (18.4% decrease). There were 671 fewer single family homes for sale in October 2009 as well. Home sales typically decrease during this time of year since we are in the slower season for real estate in Colorado Springs.

Compared to the previous month of September, the average sales price ($240,326) and the median sales price ($200,000) increased.  Last October, the average sales price was $213,352 and the median sales price was $187,995. This is a good sign that the real estate market in Colorado Springs is improving.
