996 homes sold in the Pikes Peak Region in August. That is the fewest for an August since 2012, and there were 4,297 homes on the market, the most since 2011. Fewer buyers, more homes. Average sale price dropped to $547,521, about $30,000 off the June peak. 66% of sales closed below asking. Only 15% went over. And yes, August always slows down. But the usual dip is 4% off July.
