If it is in your control, plan ahead by prepping your home to sell vs waiting until right before you put it on the market. This way, you are not under pressure once the time comes to list your home and you are able to maintain a fresh and decluttered space! If you know the time is near, meet with a real estate agent and stager you trust so you can start working through their list of recommendations and they can help you decide which updates will give you the most bang for your buck. So many of my Sellers say they wish they had some time to live in and enjoy their home after making the recommended changes vs. selling right away!
